Bina C.

Bina didn’t discover her passion for photography until 2012, when her daughter bought a Nikon D5100. I vividly remember standing with her on a roundabout in Italy as she captured the Giro d’Italia, the cyclists racing past in a blur of colour and speed. That moment stayed with me and inspired me to purchase my own Nikon D5200 the following year—and from then on, I was hooked.

Her interest deepened during the four years that Bina and her husband, Ken, lived in Costa Rica. Surrounded by incredible biodiversity, she gravitated toward nature and wildlife photography. As they began travelling more extensively and eventually moved to Portugal in 2020, Bina found herself reaching more often for her iPhone. Its increasingly powerful camera made it a convenient and reliable option, especially while on the go.

These days, she primarily uses her iPhone for travel photography, featured in her blog Two Clines Traveling (www.twoclinestraveling.wordpress.com).  For wildlife and nature outings—where a long lens is essential – she turns to her Canon EOS R6 Mark II.

Some of her favourite subjects include night scenes, birds and wildlife, and sweeping landscapes. As a member of the APG, she is grateful for the opportunity to continue growing as a photographer and sharing her work through APG exhibitions.
