Exhibition Night – “Country Life”

All of the themes for 2022 (challenges and Exhibitions were submitted by our membership which then went into a draw. We start 2022 with a wonderful theme that promises to attract a wide variety of images, “Country Life”.
Brief – Country Life
Entries for this theme will depict the following description.
Country Life – The theme of Country Life holds a vast amount of scope to cover. We can be talking about fields and landscapes, human interaction with livestock on a farm or close up’s of hens or other animals you’d associate with country life. Images do not have to be limited to Algarve country life, so feel free to venture further afield. Vineyards, Fruit, Utensils, Tools, Machinery…
What is country life to you? How would you explain it to someone that had never been to the countryside, through a single image? That’s what we want to see!
Rules
- Photos must be your work
- The 2-Year Rule applies.
- Photos can be colour, black & white or any monochrome colour.
- Maximum of Two Images per Member.
- There is no limitation to the amount of post-production that can be done to your images, If you can do, it and like it, great!
Voting
- Members of the public will be asked to vote on their favourite three images to accolade the top three images and respective photographers
- Images submitted will earn 1 Order of Merit point each.
- Public Votes for each image will be added together for this year’s Order of Merit for each photographer.
Deadline for Entries
- The deadline for the primary image submissions is Thursday the 13th January 2022 – (please email your image title and image format (Landscape/Portrait) to the usual e-mail address).
- Additional calls for secondary images will be made if gallery space is still available (but please have a second image ready to submit).
Frame Change Thursday
- Frame Changing will take place on Thursday 27th January between 10:00 -13:00
Exhibition Night
- Gallery Doors open at 19:00 on Friday 28th January 2022

We welcome the general public to come along and support the event (free admission) where you can vote for your favourite three entries, enjoy some interesting discussions and chat with ambient music.
