Online Exhibition – “Landscapes”

Due to continuing social limitations in place, the Landscape Exhibition that was due to be held in the museum gallery will now be an ONLINE Exhibition.

Exhibition Brief – Landscapes

Landscape photography is the art of capturing pictures of nature and the outdoors in a way that allows your viewer to jump into the scene.
Most photographers would agree that the definition of “landscape” is outdoor images without any humans or animals in the photo. If there are any living creatures in a landscape photo, they are not the focus but intentionally included to show a sense of scale to the image.

When taking your photos, ask yourself the following questions:

• Do I have a clearly defined subject?
• Can I distinguish between foreground, midground and background in the photo?
• Have I chosen the best time of day?
• Should I try another level or angle?
• How can I make it better?

Rules

• Photos must be your work
• No restriction on when the photo was taken.
• Photos can be colour, Black & White or any monochrome colour.
• Photos must be at least 1800px on the longest edge and can be Landscape or Portrait formats.
• Maximum of Two Images per Member.
• Entitle your image “Exhibition-name-image-title-firstname-lastname.jpg”  For example Landscapes-Snowy-Mountains-joe-blogs.jpg
• There will be no voting on this Exhibition and, as such, this will not contribute to the new Order of Merit.

Deadline for Entries

• Deadline for entries is 17:00 on Tuesday 26th May 2020

• The Online Gallery will be published at 19:00 on 29th May 2020
