Challenge – “Wheels”

A topic with a massive amount or room for scope and one that will create great interest as top images will feature in May’s Edition of the Algarve Plus Magazine. It is still too early to say if this will go ahead as an Exhibition in the Museum or as an Online Challenge, but members should still proceed to get their images ready.

Brief – Wheels

Entries for this theme will depict images that fall under the following description.

Wheel: a circular frame of hard material that may be solid, partly solid, or spoked and that is capable of turning on an axle. When we think of a wheel, we immediately think of cars, bikes or transport in general, but wheels can be found in many more places and situations. So think about it a little bit and give yourself time to prepare to photograph something interesting, Remember to try different angles, lighting and colour.

Rules

• Photos must be your work
• No restriction on when the photo was taken.
• Photos can be colour, black & white or any monochrome colour.
• Photos must be at least 1800px on the longest edge and can be Landscape or Portrait formats.
• Maximum of Two Images per Member.
• Entitle your image “Exhibition-name-image-title-firstname-lastname.jpg”  For example Wheels-Around-we-go-joe-blogs.jpg

Voting

• If a presential exhibition is permitted, voting will be in the usual fashion, by public vote.
• If an online challenge transpires then a guest Judge will be asked to select their favourite 4 images. The guest judge will be nominated by Algarve Plus magazine as the selected images will be published in the May edition.
• There will be no contribution to the Order of Merit.

Deadline for Entries

• The deadline for entries is 17:00 on Tuesday 23rd March 2021
