Nigel Chapman is a new APG Member for 2025. He was born and bred in West London and moved to Bristol where he ran a distribution operation for a major retailer. He managed to engineer an early retirement package which enabled him and his wife, Jan, to move to Moncarapacho in 2005.
Nigale and his wife have travelled to many countries over the years, but have not capitalised on photographic opportunities. Nigel realised that although he could produce some good photos, he felt that there was a lack of composition skills in his game. He doesn’t consider himself to be artistic, which is probably the drawback.
The technical side is something of a mystery. Taking photos with an iPhone is comfortable in public; a DSLR for Landscapes or Studio situations is good.
Nigel believes that he will be delighted, as a member of the APG, if he can gain the knowledge and missing element that will help him produce a memorable photograph on his photographic journey.
