Challenge – “Open Doors”

The Open Doors Theme will be an Online Challenge and again will prove to test our members technically and creatively to show us their work.

Again, we will have a Guest Judge who will be nominated by Algarve Plus Magazine to select their favourite four images which will then go on to feature in June’s edition of the magazine.

Brief – Open Doors

Entries for this theme will depict images that fall under the following description.

OPEN DOOR: “A means of access or admission to…” One could say that the actual door itself should be visible otherwise it is an opening through which something or someone can pass unrestricted. The doors can act as prevention of that access should they be closed, however, we want to see them OPEN.  Immediately we think of everyday material in our households, but spare a minute to think about it. Try and explore further afield and see what you come up with. Good Luck!

Rules

• Photos must be your work
• No restriction on when the photo was taken.
• Photos can be colour, black & white or any monochrome colour.
• Photos must be at least 1800px on the longest edge and can be Landscape or Portrait formats.
• Maximum of Two Images per Member.
• Entitle your image “Exhibition-name-image-title-firstname-lastname.jpg”  For example Open_Doors-Wide-Open-View-joe-blogs.jpg

Voting

• A Guest Judge will be asked to select their favourite 4 images. The Guest Judge will be nominated by Algarve Plus magazine and selected images will be published in the June edition.
• There will be no contribution to the Order of Merit.

Deadline for Entries

• The deadline for entries is 17:00 on Tuesday 27rd April 2021
